I was out all day until well after dark, so I didn't get a chance to do a bug walk. Fortunately, I turned on the porch light before I left in the morning, so there were a few bugs waiting for me when I got home.
Mostly moths:
Quite a beauty. I wish I'd been able to get a better picture of it, but it was in a very awkward spot.
This one was actually on the porch light.
Not a leaf.
There were a few other kinds of insects, and quite a lot of other moths, but these were the only ones I could get pictures of. Having moths on the porch really makes if feel like winter is gone. It may not be, the cold could come back, but having these nocturnal porch visitors feels like we're out of the freeze.
