Porch Attraction

I didn't do a bug walk today because - and it is very strange to say this - it rained all day. For the second time in just over a week, and only the second time this year, I think, it rained all day, so I couldn't take my camera out. I had to rely on the porch light to see any bugs today, and it was COLD today, so even that wasn't much of a draw for the bugs.

Backyard Bug of the Day:

 I think this is a midge.

Other than the midge, and some earwigs that were in places where I could not take pictures of them, there were only crane flies:

 Lots of little crane flies

 Mostly engaged in propagating their species

I'm not sure how many are in this tangle, but it's either three or four, I think.
