Puzzled

Today was a beautiful day (albeit really windy), I had plenty of time for my bug walk, and I still didn't find many bugs. I have no idea where they were hiding.

Backyard Bug of the Day:

 A click beetle. I think this is one I have not seen before, but I am not sure - I at least saw one that was similar a few weeks ago.

The multiflora rose are in bloom, and it is puzzling to me that they aren't covered in bugs. I did spot this bee feeding on one today.

 The aphids on the tree trunk had the big ants back today. Note that two of the ones in the group on the left are secreting drops of honeydew.
