Attraction

I was out all day and couldn't do a bug walk, so I had to leave the porch light on when we went out in the evening, in the hopes of attracting some insects. It's a nice, bright, new bulb, but the bugs were not interested, and not many showed up.

Backyard Bug of the Day:

 Primrose moth. I don't think I have ever seen one outside of a primrose before.

 I found some insect eggs on the screen door.

 Only one other moth was willing to sit still to be photographed.

The newly hatched caterpillars have already grown quite a bit in just one day. I can see them without my reading glasses on.
