Today was a beautiful day in the backyard - sunny, not too hot, not too humid. The bugs didn't seem to think so - there weren't very many around.
Backyard Bug of the Day:
Wasp
There was actually one place in the backyard that had a lot of bugs - this one goldenrod plant:
Mostly bees and wasps, but there are tiny beetles in there, too.

Neighbors
The last furcula on the back porch tree (which I am beginning to think is a poplar. I should look it up).
It blends in really well.
I think this is a hairstreak butterfly. Its wings are a bit beat up. The dorsal side was a pretty blue, but I never got a good look at it.
Cricket
Tree cricket. Now you see it...
... Now you still see it, but it thinks you can't.
Moth
The eastern tiger swallowtail caterpillar is all green now.
