Rainy Day

It rained all day, so I didn't get to do a bug walk, but there is good springtime news - the spring peepers are peeping! The frog chorus has been singing the last two nights, and it's grand to hear.

The only bugs today are porch bugs. Backyard Bug of the Day:

 A really big, kind of orange ant.

 The pictures are blurry and horrible, because it kept moving, but it was a cool bug, so I decided to post them anyway.

This moth was on the back porch, and what I found most interesting about it was that it was already there when I turned on the light - it wasn't attracted by the light.
